Even though I am 21 days late, I have just found out the sad news that Mr. Hillman Curtis has passed away.
I was introduced to his documentary work in 2005 from a friend who heard of him from class. While my friend was intrigued of the content, I was blown away with the subtle aesthetics and delivery from Curtis.
Ever since that year, I always came back to his site for inspiration and find a reminder to keep doing what I do.
To Mr. Curtis, I may have never met you in person but I'd like to thank you for making films the way you did. Your style and delivery was unmatched and I will always be a fan. Rest in peace.
